	Michael:	Dets’į̄́’ gedezān gedéntsíg-am?
		To each other-they are mad-you heard them-yes/no question?
		Did you hear them arguing?

	Pete:	Dūłą̄́ gedéssik.
		Not-I heard them.
		I didnʼt hear them.

	Michael:	Phil, “New truck ūskḗdī neszen,” éhdī’.
		Phil, “New truck-I will buy-I want,” he said.
		Phil said he wants to go buy a new truck.

		Mary, “Eméʼ!” yéhdī. “Łą́se eméʼ!”
		Mary,“No!”she said to him.“Forever-no!”
		Mary said, “No way!”

		“Dūłą̄́ dé kį̄́nhłāʼ!”
		“Not-then-you work.”
		“You arenʼt even working.”

		Síkʼādé dūłā́ truck dzekḗt lā.
		“Not-our old truck-we bought-still.”
		“We havenʼt finished paying for our old truck.”

	Pete:	Gedezānī dūłą̄́ kḗntʼēdéʼ gedésts’ik. Áhlādé zelé.
		They were mad-not-all-I heard.-Some-only.
		I didn’t hear all the argument, just the end of it.

	Michael:	“Dūłą̄́ new truck dinkíł lā kī́nhłā zeléʼ,” Mary yéhdī.
		“Not-new truck-you will buy-you work-only,” Mary-she said to him.
		Mary told him he canʼt buy a new truck until he gets a job

		“Īyéh gūoldtruckéʼ īnkēde dé zeléʼ.”
		“Then-our old truck-you sell-de-only.”
		And finishes paying for their old truck.

	S1:	Esdāne endū́é” éhdī Phil.

	S2:	“Tū Chō Menéʼ tsʼį̄́ʼ dū́syā́ī,” éhdī Pete.
		Pete said he wants to go to Frances Lake.

	S3:	“Dzídze nūsbéī neszen” Mary yéhdī.
		“I want to go pick berries,” Mary said.

	S4:	“Etsén enkḗt” yéhdī są̂ nezen.
		He thought she wanted him to buy some meat.

	S5:	Łáhtādé ándūsjáī nezen.
		He thought he should go home.

	Q1:	Dáhyigé tsʼį̄́ʼ dahyāl-ā nenzen-ā?
		Where do you think sheʼll go?

	A1:	Linda kǭ́ą̄ tsʼį̄́ʼ dāyāl neszen.
		I think sheʼll go to Lindaʼs house.

		What do you think sheʼll do?

		I think sheʼll roast the beaver.

		What did she say we should do?

		She said we should wash the dishes.

	A4:	“Shenehtę́ʼ,” kwéhdīʼ.
		She said that we should go to sleep.

	S6:	Tses dzedūtʼā́zī gēdīʼ.
		“Letʼs cut firewood,” they said.

	Q4:	Yā yénélīn éhdī-ā?
		What did he say he wants?

	A5:	“Tsū́netʼḗs áhlādé yénéslīn éhdī.
		He said he wants some bannock.

	S7:	“Sorry” ehdī nā.
		He should say heʼs sorry.

		Dūłą̄́ kḗndūssį̄́ sį̄́.
		I wonʼt say that again.

		Dūłą̄́ dzā gūdūsdḗ sį̄́.
		I will not say anything bad.

		“Dūłā dzā gūslḗ sį̄́,” éhdī.
		“I wonʼt do anything bad,” he said.

	S8:	Ī Doctor, “shēntīn!ʼ yéhdī
		The doctor told him to stay in bed.

		Nebedéʼ kā desentʼīʼ.
		Lay down on your bed

		Doctor, “Netełe kā desentʼīʼ!” yéhdīʼ.
		The doctor told him to lie down on his bed.
