The pictures in the
Kaska Language Course Scrapbook are from the 2002 UBC Kaska
Language course. Classes were held at the school in Ross River,
at a camp in MacMillan Pass at the NWT border, and at Frances
Lake in southeastern Yukon. Twenty-five students participated
in the 2002 UBC Kaska language course. In addition to Josephine
Acklack and Pat Moore, the UBC instructors for the course,
twelve Kaska elders provided extensive teachings about Kaska
language and culture.
